Biography

      Kayla is a high school graduate of Interlochen Arts Academy where she was a Dance major. She toured Europe with the Blue Lake International Dance Ensemble and performed in The Nutcracker and Coppelia with the Interlochen Dance Ensemble. She received a BFA in Music Theatre Performance and a minor in Dance from Western Michigan University.  Some of her favorite roles include Mata Hari in a first reading of Mata Hari, A Rock Opera by Jay Berkow, Lola LaMar in Copacabana, Gretchen in Boeing Boeing, Kathy Seldon in Singin' in the Rain, Val in A Chorus Line, Velma in Chicago and Jolene Oakes in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.  Other credits include White Christmas; Wizard of Oz; Footloose; Hairspray!; Big River; The Wiz; The Donkey Show; Annie Get Your Gun; Pippin; On The Town; West Side Story; Carousel and recently selected as a National Finalist in the NY Maybelline/Chicago the Musical competition.
